Symbolism: the Fishes
In Greek myth, Pisces is associated with a Greek legend that Aphrodite and her son Eros either transformed into fishes or were rescued by two fishes when escaping the monster Typhon. This can also be associated with the German lore of Antenteh, where a couple is allowed to fulfill their wishes given to them by two fishes. They ask for a very nice home but the wife starts to ask for more and more, eventually enraging the fish and causing the couple to be stripped of their wealth.
Pisces is home to M74(Messier 74), a loose spiral galaxy with many star clusters and nebulae, allowing for the large formation of stars. Not too long back, a Type II Supernova was discovered around the edges of this galaxy and it was found that this supernova resulted from the violent collapse of a red supergiant with 8 solar masses.
