The constellation of Gemini is often associated with the two twins Castor and Pollux(known together as the Dioscuri) in Greek mythology.
Within the area of Gemini are mainly open clusters and a handful of stars. Gemini also holds Geminga, a neutron star that is about 550 ly from us. The constellation also holds the Medusa Nebula.
